This is our first official Foxfire Youth Team Lap for Liz!

Our Thursday girls sent up horsepower x5, and five sets of hoofbeats went out to Liz Halliday Eventing with our best wishes for total recovery!

Some of them lifted their own wishes aloud, and others internally. At one point, you can hear one of them say, “You can do it,“ and that’s what we believe. Liz, we know you can do this! We, and so many more all over the world, are cheering you on 100%! We’re sending you all the best from Goochland, Virginia, and we’ll do a lap for you every ride from now until you’re back in the saddle!

Foxfire is a nonprofit where kids manage a horse farm, home to second-chance horses from all different walks of life. The horses spend their days learning what love is, and patiently teaching young riders and volunteers a little of everything! The kids run the Foxfire farm, feeding, fixing, filling, friending, and learning through service!

Foxfire Eventing announced an initiative for ALL of our horse friends around the world this week: Lap for Liz!

We will take a lap in honor of Liz Halliday during every ride from now until she has recovered (or maybe we’ll just keep it going)!

Our team will canter around the arena while we send our horsepower energy to Liz for rapid and complete recovery!

Join us for the first official #lapforliz around 7pm eastern TONIGHT, Thursday, September 12!

When Liz Halliday met Foxfire nonprofit kids in April at the Kentucky Defender 3 Day Event, she wrote a note to our newest second-chance horse, Orko, to “keep fighting” as he transitioned to his new life. We’ve hung it in the horse trailer, and on his stall at his first event, and her fighting spirit has inspired us all!

This Thursday, we’ll bounce that “keep fighting” message back to Liz, as Orko and his new friends help us send up our best wishes for her recovery!
